Wemple & Edick’s is a business which was established in 1897. Jason & Kim Brown are the 6th owners since that time. They run the store with help from their entire family, who grew up just a few miles away. Kim comes from a family of business owning entrepreneurs, and Jason is a hometown kid with a sweet tooth and a passion for Wemple & Edick's history. Jason & Kim took over ownership from Bob & Laura Channell who kept the Wemple & Edick's tradition alive for an incredible 20 years. Laura currently works as a JHS teacher and Bob is employed by Keymark Corporation of Fonda. At Wemple & Edick’s Bob is the ice cream maker and maintenance man while Laura bakes and manages the day-to-day operations. Laura is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has had previous experience in ice cream retail as a co-owner of The Blue Moon of Esperance, New York.

Unreal. We drove 10 minutes off the NYS thruway to find this place & we were not disappointed! We had the ice cream & baked goods & everything was great! Highly recommend

Best homemade ice cream, half and half cookies and chocolate jumbles!  At least they were the best in the early 2000s when I lived back that way. The antiques in their store is a great trip down memory lane.
